What did your mum teach you about style?

Mila Jankowska:

 Above all – freedom. The freedom to experiment and stay open-minded. She taught me that our wardrobes can mix and match beautifully. Though I have to admit – I dip into her closet way more often than she borrows from mine.

I have such tender memories of my childhood – digging through bags of her clothes. As a costume designer, she had a lot of them at home. I loved trying them on and putting on little fashion shows.

Thanks to her, I fell in love with cowboy boots, oversized t-shirts, big blazers – and so much more.

My mum is my biggest inspiration in life, and that includes fashion. I admire her independence, ease, resilience, wisdom, and her openness to anything new or unknown. I could go on and on… But most of all – she’s a truly wonderful mum.
